SAFE International, North America’s Self Defense Leader, Launches Albuquerque, New Mexico Self Defense Seminars

SAFE International is a leading provider of self defense training in North America. SAFE International is pleased to announce its expansion into Albuquerque, New Mexcio with a focused marketing campaign to provide self defense to women, corporations and high school students.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 13, 2011 (Straight Line PR) -- SAFE International™ is the leading provider of self defense training in North America. It currently operates throughout Canada and has expanded into Albuquerque, New Mexico with a focused marketing campaign to provide Albuquerque self defense to women, men, corporations and high schools.

SAFE International has delivered training to over one hundred thousand (100,000) people since 1994. The company is owned and managed by Chris Roberts, CEO, who is a professional teaching Director and self-defense instructor.

Ryan Fellows is the Director of Operations for SAFE International™ in the U.S.A. Ryan Fellows lives in Albuquerque, NM, in the southwest United States. He has been married to his wife Vickie for 19 years and has three daughters. Ryan studied martial arts and tactics for many years. His teaching and training credentials range from: studies in Shotokan Karate to more modern methods of self-defense. Ryan is an NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and is also a NRA Range Safety Officer. He has been teaching Albuquerque Self-Defense to people for many years from high school to senior citizens. Ryan has volunteered his services to many community organizations including domestic violence and women’s /family shelters. He has a passion for teaching people how to stay safe, and believes that the key to good instruction is keeping it fun.

Mr. Roberts founded SAFE International™ in 1994. He saw there was a lack of practical and effective self defense instruction for people. The SAFE International high school courses became known for their instruction on how to deal with conflict before it starts rather than just deal with the physical side of self defense. While self protection is a serious topic, the SAFE instructors have managed to develop a course that integrates humour while still getting a serious message across to students/clients. Chris Roberts has developed and taught specially tailored self defense courses in the corporate environment, particularly to companies/organizations that are in higher risk professions including health care, real estate, sales people, etc. Self protection is a not only a necessity, but is also a form of insurance that will make your business more profitable and your employees more confident and secure. Workplace violence is a serious issue and SAFE has the ability to teach workplace staff how to deal with all aspects of confrontation including the Awareness/Avoidance stages along with Verbal Diffusing skills and physical self defense.

SAFE International also offers specialized Women’s Self Defense courses to women’s groups, including their Women’s Self Defense Parties. Twenty five percent of women will be assaulted during their lifetime. This is an alarming fact especially since over forty seven percent of crime is unreported. Women will know their attacker fifty seven percent of the time according to studies. Women lead busy lives and need easy to remember tactics that work in real-life situations. They also need training that fits into their busy schedules. SAFE International's instructors understand the challenges that women face and offer classes, group seminars and private lessons to fit into anyone's schedule.

SAFE International has become North America’s most popular high school course for both boys and girls due to the fact that they don't teach martial arts, but rather a practical approach to personal safety with an emphasis on recognizing and avoiding potentially dangerous situations. All instructors are certified through SAFE International™ and have a unique ability to reach the students in an effective and memorable manner. SAFE International has traditionally focused on self defense instruction for high school students. It offers 1, 3, 4 or 5 hour courses which can be taught over consecutive days or all in one day depending upon the school/ organization's needs. They offer High School self defense customized to the class needs and expectations. Each session includes discussion, role playing and a practical physical component ending with their famous simulated attacks in which the students get the opportunity to practice their newly learned skills on a padded instructor. These are real-world tactics that can be used by anyone against violent and stressful attacks.

SAFE International™ also trains/consults people privately on a weekly basis. Private clients include mothers, fathers, daughters, police officers, seniors, and people with disabilities. Chris Roberts constantly studies and implements new tactics when they fit the criteria of being simple, but effective. SAFE International teaches self defense concepts that are based on Gross Motor movements, rather than complicated and difficult to remember techniques.

SAFE International, North America’s Self Defense Leader, Launches High School Self Defense in Albuquerque, New Mexico

SAFE International is a leading provider of high school self defense training in North America. SAFE International is pleased to announce its expansion into Albuquerque, New Mexcio with a focused marketing campaign to provide self defense to high school students. SAFE International has taught more than 100,000 high school students since 1994.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 13, 2011 (Straight Line PR) -- SAFE International™ is the leading provider of self defense training in North America. It currently operates throughout Canada and has expanded into Albuquerque, New Mexico with a focused marketing campaign to provide Albuquerque high school self defense to both female and male students. SAFE International has delivered training to more than one hundred thousand (100,000) high school students since 1994.

SAFE International™ believes that Personal Self Defense Protection Education beginning at the High School level helps to develop and ensure that teenage students transition into our communities and workplaces as more confident and responsible individuals helping to strengthen our communities. SAFE International has become North America’s most popular high school / junior high school course for both boys and girls due to the fact that we are not teaching martial arts, but rather a practical approach to personal safety with an emphasis on recognizing and avoiding potentially dangerous situations. All of our instructors are certified through SAFE International and have a unique ability to reach the students in an effective and memorable manner. Teaching teenage students poses unique and exciting challenges. With the bombardment of media and entertainment, trying to entertain teenagers can be one of the most challenging aspects of teaching Albuquerque self-defense.

Unfortunately, 1 in 4 Women will be assaulted during their lifetime... and the highest risk group is teenage women! This course has the option of either three or four, or five days of physical instruction. Physical Instruction includes basic striking, common attack scenarios, ground survival and our famous simulated attack class. In this hour, students get the opportunity to practice what they have learned in a high adrenaline simulated attack. Students experience firsthand what is known as an adrenaline dump and how it affects their ability to fight back. The students quickly learn why they are only able to execute gross motor strikes and movements. Another important aspect of the attacks is to give the students confidence, but not a false sense of over-confidence.
It is important when selecting a High School Self Defense company, that you choose the right company.

1) Does the company teach Reality Based self defense or Martial Arts? While martial arts are an excellent activity, they do not address what happens in real life with the psychology, emotions and realistic attacks in the street.

2) Does the company put some emphasis on How to Avoid Danger? Most self defense companies jump right into physical skills while ignoring the most important aspect of high school self defense which is to avoid conflict.

3) Does the company teach the students verbal skills, teaching them how to defuse an attacker? Many attackers can be talked down (defused). This is a very important skill which must be addressed.

4) Does the company brag about all their credentials rather than pointing out how they can make the students safer? While you want someone with excellent credentials, you do not want someone who is there for their own ego.

5) Does the company teach strikes that are basic, gross motor movements? In a real attack, no one can remember highly complex skills. This is another important reason why SAFE International teaches concepts rather than techniques. Do they have the students strike pads or do they have students strike in the air? It is important the students experience making contact.

6) Does the company tell you that they can teach Albuquerque High School self defense without any strikes, so that you do not need to be concerned with them becoming aggressive? While we always emphasize run when you can, you must teach students basic strikes or you are not helping them to address real self defense. The goal is to avoid but if you can’t, use verbal skills and if that fails, strike in order to be able to get away safely.

7) Does the company teach realistic holds, grabs, groundwork which is applicable to the students or are they more concerned with looking good, teaching fancy techniques?

8) Does the company offer a class with Realistic Simulated Attacks recreating the intensity and adrenaline of a real attack? Is it done in a safe format? Some companies have students break boards or punch in the air for a final test. Recreating simulated attacks is crucial in making your students safer.

9) Does the company have an excellent reputation, having taught literally thousands and thousands of students? Knowing how to deal with high school students takes a particular skill and not all self defense instructors are able to do it effectively.

10) Does the company have hundreds of evaluations from both teachers and students?

Hot Business Topics. Business Procedures and Regulatory Compliance Management

Using a latest generation BPM Suite the Business Regulations of a company, both internal and those of obligatory compliance, work out of necessity

Woburn (Boston), MA, June 08, 2011 - AuraPortal (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) has presented a new 'Hot Business Topic' in international forums, dedicated to the optimization and automation of Business Regulations using a latest generation BPM Suite.

Whether those regulations relate to Quality, Occupational Safety, Hygiene, Environment, Personal Data Security, Information Security, Basel III, Solvency II, Patriot Act, AML, SOX, etc., using AuraPortal BPM as a platform can help to manage and maintain regulatory compliance in the workplace.

AuraPortal covers the two critical sides of Regulations management: System Administration for Regulatory Compliance Management

Management procedures and regulatory compliance monitoring will be managed through specific processes, including: documentary cycle to create, review, approve and notify documents, recording of incidents with the approval and monitoring of corrective actions, plans, execution and recording of internal audits, meetings management, training courses and seminars, etc.

Enterprises Business Processes

AuraPortal promotes regulatory compliance, because when designing the many work entity processes, the regulations are taken into account, including the tasks for compliance. These will have their corresponding Business Rules, both textual (instructions on the tasks to be carried out by people) and automatic (which run the system without human intervention).

Thus, when appropriate, actions will be launched automatically to ensure their strict compliance, thereby reducing risk, work (cost) and response times.

In this way, technical instructions and regulation specifications will not depend on personal memory that is needed to apply them, nor will they only appear on paper for their consultation, but will take part in a highly automated set of AuraPortal processes.

The natural result of using this system is the meticulous regulation compliance. The system itself leads to compliance, as it marks the steps to follow.

Awareness of the company direction in compliance with regulations will be reflected in the design itself of administrative processes. The involvement of all users concerned will be maximized, as they will have to follow the instructions in their respective workflow phases.

With AuraPortal's Extranet, external users can also participate in the business processes, receiving and sending tasks. Thus, both the application of regulations as well as the monitoring will also be transmitted to subcontractors, suppliers (products, equipment or packaging), transport, etc., ensuring full compliance with quality, as well as with suppliers, partners, agents, etc.
